GeoBlue Awarded FEP Overseas Assistance Center Contract
We are proud to announce that the Federal Employee Program® (FEP) has awarded GeoBlue its Overseas Assistance Center contract, giving 5.6 million FEP members access to GeoBlue’s overseas health tools and international provider network. This first-time partnership will also expand the Blue Cross® Blue Shield® footprint globally by serving more than 29,000 FEP members living abroad.
We are excited about this opportunity and want to ensure you have the information you need to service this group of members. In the coming months, we will follow up with additional materials to help inform you and your staff on any process changes.

Provider Spotlight: Korea University Anam Hospital
 Korea University Anam Hospital, located in Seoul, South Korea, was established in 1941 and has been Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited since 2009. It was the first hospital in Korea to receive its 5th consecutive certification and has been a GeoBlue provider since 2018.
The hospital is known for pioneering the world’s first scarless oral thyroidectomy, and for their use of robotic surgery for colorectal cancer. Its five-year breast cancer survival rate is 92.6%.
Korea University Anam Hospital also has an International Healthcare Center that serves as the main point of contact for international patients before, during and after their visit. They have interpreters on staff to meet the needs of patients from around the world.
